Coolsmartphone News

Woaha. Why didn’t we see this just a few days ago at Mobile World Congress? LG has today shown off their prototype Windows Phone 7 Series.. err.. phone (gah, I just can’t get my head around that naming convention) to engadget.

The LG handset is a slim QWERTY slider with a 5 megapixel shooter plus flash. You can see it in action on the video below. It’s perhaps not the most gorgeous thing in the world, but bear in mind that there’s quite a few months between now and the expected Windows Phone 7 Series launch – at Christmas.

A part of me thinks that we’ll be seeing a few more leaks and early prototypes over the coming months – there’s a long wait for Windows Phone fans, and it’s still not clear whether any Windows Mobile phone you buy now will be upgradeable to Windows Phone 7 Series.
